Captain Stragglybeard has lost his treasure!

It has been split into three and he needs the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to help him find it.
The first Cub to send an email to Joe or Akela with the completed tasks and where to find the Cub part of the treasure will win a prize!
And all who do the tasks and report where to find the treasure will get badge work ticked off … and have fun!


Here's what you need to do…

1. Take 10 minutes to dress up as a Pirate with items from around the house.

2. Life on a pirate ship is confined - a bit like we have been in lockdown. Invent an exercise you could do on board ship - or even in your bedroom!

3. Find out what is for dinner this evening and lay the table ready for it with the right plates and cutlery. Take drinks orders for your family and get everyone's drink ready.

4. See if you can figure out what this code phrase says:

Your clue is unmfyj = pirate

5. Translate your answer to number four into Morse Code - you can find it here

7. With Mum or Dad prepare and send an email to Joe or to Akela that includes
- a picture of you in your pirate outfit
- telling us the exercise you have created
- what you are having for dinner and what drinks you've had to prepare
- Your answer in Morse Code for task 5
- using the answer you got for task 6, where on the treasure map below is Captain Stragglybeard's treasure hidden?


8. Finished points 1 to 7? Then say "I'm finished" and see if Mum or Dad have an ice cream for you!
